This course goes beyond the theory and into the practice and principles of culture design. Through actionable exercises and real-world examples, students will learn what it takes to transform a company’s culture into its most important competitive advantage.

Culture is a connected system of six components that, when designed and operationalized, leaders can create an intentional and self-sustaining workplace. Through our five residencies together we’ll cover the six components of culture, and by the end, you'll have the knowledge, the tools, and the confidence to design an organization’s culture.

Beyond the subject matter, I want our time together to be a collaborative learning environment. That means I need your help to break the teacher/learner dichotomy by creating an expectation that you will be learning and sharing with your peers as much as you will from me.
In Story Lab we will explore ways in which storytelling can be deployed as tool of information, insight, and inspiration. The ability to render an idea in compelling narrative form, written or spoken, complements the supposedly “hard” studio skills you will be learning, and belongs alongside them in the toolkit of every design entrepreneur.
