Fashion Design 2 continues to introduce students to the conceptual, creative and technical processes of designing and creating cohesive capsule collections of garments, while also cultivating a deeper understanding of what their authentic identities and impacts are as designers, both individually and collectively. Through the development of weekly assignments the design briefs of this course will require, students will continue to become familiar with industry product development, while strengthening their approach to the skills that successfully contributing to it will require.

In this section of Fashion Illustration 3, students build critical compositional and tactile skills to present concepts, figurative, and technical digital flat work with compelling and distinctive points of view. Instructional emphasis will be on building a tactile portfolio from work developed in Fashion Design 1-3, and presenting ongoing work in compelling and unique formats. This is particularly important as students explore concepts in sustainability studio that fall outside traditional fashion parameters and expectations. 
Building a digital website is also an outcome of this section of the class.

At the end of this course, students will have a tactile portfolio and website to use for professional interviews and will have acquired making skills to support the Fashion Illustration/Visual Communication 4 Senior-level Portfolio class.
