This class takes many shapes, depending on who teaches it. what the current needs are and even the students. I am presenting it as a comprehensive world history of ceramics, covering as many world cultures and practices as possible. My hope is to introduce students to the many stories of clay, so they can follow those threads later if they are interested: finding their own path with this most common and most extraordinary of materials.
