This course looks at the territory of Artists’ Cinema as a playground for cinematic and artistic ideas and as an opportunity to infuse fine art with cinema and vice versa. Students produce four short filmic pieces that follow a set of conceptual parameters. Screenings of relevant historic films and discussion of film related writing augment the making process. In addition students gain familiarity with local film organizations and film makers through field trips and guest lectures.
