In Comics Workshop II we’re going to dive deep into what kind of story-tellers you want to be. At its core, I believe cartooning is about telling stories that build connections with readers, and in this workshop I want us to examine the tools at our disposal with which to do that.
You’re all embarking on ambitious thesis projects, and it’s my sincere hope that experimenting with different types and styles of storytelling will help solidify your visions for your projects, and give you the resources to communicate the full depth of your themes and characters as you tackle your thesis projects.

Digital tools have revolutionized the comic medium and industry. Students will utilize digital tools to create, enhance, color, letter, and design comics related projects. In addition to comics creation, this course will explore the possibilities of the infinite canvas provided by the computer, television, and mobile device screen.
