Fashion Design 5 is part of the Senior Thesis suite, working closely with Studio 4 and Studio 5. This course focuses on the final stages of visual and ecological research, ideation, and development for each student’s individual collection. Students are expected to demonstrate personal expression, craftsmanship, integration of sustainability and attention to function and fit and attitude of the wearer as they move from concept to final garments. Through self-initiated projects, students will conceptualize, prototype, and document their collections, showcasing a cohesive fashion for sustainability design philosophy through garments, illustrations, visual communication, writing, and verbal presentations.
