Fashion
Design 1 introduces students to the fundamental creative processes of
fashion design, working in tandem with Fashion Illustration 1 and
Fashion Studio 1. Students will explore the integration of material
skills, conceptual thinking, and research to develop their initial
designs.Through
the course, students begin to articulate their unique aesthetic point
of view and learn how to move from intuition and research to visually
communicated cohesive designs. The course emphasizes the diverse components involved in creating and communicating a fashion collection.
