Hello! This HAVC Faculty Shared Resources Moodle is a way for faculty to share articles and have online discussions. It may also be a repository for much used documents from the program (like learning outcomes etc...). We all benefit from shared pedagogy, but we are also all very busy with complex schedules, and it is hard to meet in person as much as we'd like. That said, I am reticent to use something like Discord or Slack which tries to keep you plugged in all the time. We all have lives beyond CCA! A focus group of faculty agreed that this might be a way to share and discuss things just among our faculty without being too aggressively "social media."
That said, please use the Discussion Forum to start online conversation threads about issues related to pedagogy, the arts, art history, visual culture.... HAVC faculty are automatically subscribed, and may unsubscribe if they do not want to participate (though I hope you do find value in it). The program will still use email for important program messages.
The forum is not monitored, so please use your discretion and bring your best selves. Also, you all have the equivalent of "TA status" so please also feel free to use folders to collect and organize documents that you may wish to share.
It is a bit of an experiment, so let's see if it works?
