Interactive Worldbuilding explores how fictional worlds are designed as systems of place, culture, history, characters, rules, and relationships- and how those worlds become meaningful when players can explore, interpret, and affect them.

Rather than treating worldbuilding as solely the creation of lore or background information, the course approaches it as a design practice: What does a player experience? What can they discover? What does the world allow or prevent? How do its systems communicate its history, values, and conflicts?
