With the end of the Fall semester only a few weeks away, here is a checklist for you to verify your Moodle gradebook calculations and course settings.
Gradebook
Note: Moodle is not CCA's academic system of record; all official grades should be submitted in Workday. Contact Student Records if you need assistance with submitting grades in Workday.
If you are using Moodle gradebook, please confirm the accuracy of calculations and that your students have viewing access.
Select an appropriate grading aggregation method. Choose “Natural” or “Weighted Mean of Grades by comparing your planned grading breakdown with the examples on the linked Portal pages.
- (If using Weighted Mean of Grades) Enter "0" for not-submitted or missing student work.
Unhide your gradebook so students can view grades in the course gradebook.

Course End Date
The default end date for Fall 2025 Moodle courses is set to December 15, 2025. Once the end date is reached, your course will remain classified as “In Progress” for a grace period of 7 days before changing over to “Past.” You and your students will still be able to access “Past” courses by adjusting the Course Overview filter after the grace period has elapsed.
